Hole in tooth….. I'm paranoid.. i dont know if i feel anxiety or im really sick?
i’ve had a hole in my back tooth for month now.. i can’t remember if its a root canal filling that fell out or if its decay…… ive experienced a little pain, and when i eat i rinse it out. well today i did that and it seemed like blood was coming out of it. i feel a little pain. should I rush to the hospital? i’m very paranoid. i plan on going to dentist soon, not having insurance is not an excuse anymore.. i can’t wait:( but should i be really concerned? is this going to kill me?

Bacterial meningitis is a rare but potentially fatal disease. It can be caused by several types of bacteria that first cause an upper respiratory tract infection and then travel through the bloodstream to the brain. The disease can also occur when certain bacteria invade the meninges directly. The disease can obstruct blood vessels in the brain, causing stroke and permanent brain damage. IM AFRAID OF THIS!!
In my opinion, it sounds like its just decay. I have the same thing, and have before. If you really are that terrified, then go.

I have no idea what’s wrong with your tooth, but there’s no reason that anything with your teeth would make you more at risk of getting bacterial meningitis.

You need to go to the dentist. I doubt it was bleeding (they us usually don’t) but it probably is sensitive to either hot or cold liquids.
Bacterial meningitis is rare…I doubt you will contract it, and you will not get it from a tooth ache.
You need to stop being a drama queen and do something about your tooth. Dentistry has come a long way and you can even get "knocked out" to have your teeth worked and and you won’t feel a thing.
